Shinraku began its journey in Shiga, Japan, with a vision to introduce the luxury of fine wagyu dining long before it became mainstream. After several successful years, that legacy found a new home in Ubud — a place that shares Japan’s appreciation for calm, balance, and beauty in simplicity.
The name Shinraku comes from the Japanese kanji meaning “True Pleasure,” representing the genuine joy we hope each guest feels when dining with us.

Our teppanyaki experience is led by Chef Landy, who has over 30 years of international culinary experience, including time at Benihana (New York & Jakarta), Gasho of Japan, and Anantara Uluwatu.
With his mastery in both authentic Japanese cooking and modern teppanyaki showmanship, Chef Landy turns each meal into a lively performance — blending precision, passion, and personality at the grill.
